Associate Client Portfolio Manager – Düsseldorf Office

We are looking for a Client Portfolio Manager in our Düsseldorf office with proven dealing, trading and account management experience. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for trading account set‑up, relationship management and deal execution. They will also provide expert suggestions and ideas to clients, helping to minimize FX risk challenges through strategy and deal structuring.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, executing FX hedging, lending, payments and cash management products and upselling Ebury’s product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to assist in business origination and understand clients' strategies and industry to provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay informed on competitors’ capabilities and gaps to position Ebury’s banking solutions.
  • Deliver on KPIs including new and repeat business revenue, reduce client churn, upsell and cross‑sell multiple products, and increase wallet share.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through meetings and professional presentations of ideas and proposals.
  • Expand existing business and provide feedback to technology and product managers.
  • Originate new business via networking and client referrals.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong financial services experience in a sales or relationship‑management role and a distinct advantage if you have an established network of contacts.
  • Experience in an FX institution or a commercial bank, or selling financial instruments to SMEs and corporate clients.
  • Solid understanding of relevant compliance requirements.
  • Academic background in business or finance is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to win commitment and buy‑in.
  • Sophisticated technical ability: statistical/fundamental analysis and risk‑management practices.
  • Proven record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities—upselling, cross‑selling, new client acquisition.
  • Skilled negotiator, able to build and leverage relationships at senior levels.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and strong business‑level proficiency in English and German.
