Overview

Business Development Manager Commercial Markets (m/w/d) – TieTalent consolidated role at Anschütz GmbH. Anschütz GmbH is a globally active medium-sized company headquartered in Kiel, Germany. We design, develop and sell navigation products and systems for seagoing vessels for civil and military customers, with a focus on autonomous navigation and smart shipping for commercial customers around the globe.

The position focuses on the successful positioning and implementation of our navigation systems and products, including new technologies such as autonomous navigation solutions on the global commercial market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Market Development: analyze commercial maritime markets to identify new business opportunities, customer needs and emerging trends, with a focus on autonomous navigation.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: develop and execute market access strategies for new technologies and solutions, including positioning, segmentation and stakeholder outreach.
  • Internal Collaboration: work with Sales, Product Management, Engineering and Marketing to align product development with market needs and ensure successful commercialization of new solutions.
  • Customer and Partner Engagement: build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the commercial maritime sector (shipowners, shipyards, port authorities, insurers and technology partners).
  • Marketing and Positioning: support targeted campaigns and communication strategies for commercial market segments in coordination with the marketing team.
  • Represent Anschütz: represent the company at industry events, conferences and trade fairs to promote innovations and strengthen market presence.

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, economics, maritime studies or related field.
  • Several years of experience in business development, sales, or product management – preferably in maritime or high-tech industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of the commercial shipping industry, market trends, and customer needs in autonomous navigation, with a strong ecosystem network.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on mentality and strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with international teams and customers; willingness to travel internationally.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
