Business Development Manager for Railway Sector

Stellenbeschreibung:

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for business development in the Railway sector, with a focus on acquiring new customers and strengthening relationships with existing customers.

  • You will be responsible for the business results of your cost centre in terms of growth and profitability.
  • You will help shape and implement company-wide sales and organisational strategies.
  • You will manage and execute the entire sales process, from lead generation to quotation preparation.
  • Price and contract negotiations with customers.
  • Structuring and managing your business unit and its employees.
  • Shaping personnel development in coordination with the HR team.

Your tasks will also include selecting applicants, conducting interviews and further recruitment activities (e.g. participating in career fairs and trade fairs).

Your Profile:

  • Successfully completed degree in business administration, engineering, computer science or similar.
  • An existing network and relevant sales experience in the Railway industries are required. Unfortunately, candidates from other fields will not be considered.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for the business model of engineering services and consulting.
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience in Railway engineering consulting or Railway industrial companies sector.
  • Deep understanding of your customers' needs and challenges.
  • Methodological knowledge and practical experience cost centre management.
  • Initial management experience is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Business fluent in German and English, at least C1 level in each
  • Advanced user knowledge of MS Office
  • Category B driving licence
  • Willingness to travel approx. 40-50%
