We are looking for a Business Process Expert (x|f|m) for Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH in the Process Improvements & Compliance department of Service BPS. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end service processes, operating across an integrated system landscape that connects SAP S/4HANA (SD/CS/MM) with a Field Service Management (FSM) solution. You will act as the key link between Service Operations and IT, driving seamless, scalable, and customer‑centric service processes. The scope covers request creation and operational planning to customer quotations, spare parts supply, engineer dispatch, on‑site execution, and final invoicing. As part of international projects, you will drive the optimization, harmonization, and implementation of end‑to‑end processes and necessary systems across the company.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and harmonize end‑to‑end service processes across SAP S/4HANA and the Field Service Management system (Service1), with a focus on spare parts supply of engineers
- Implement and roll out global service processes and systems as part of company integrations and international rollout projects
- Act as the central interface between operational service teams and IT, translating business requirements into scalable process and system solutions
- Provide second‑level functional support for service‑related processes, analyzing and resolving complex issues in SAP S/4HANA and FSM in close collaboration with key users and IT
- Collect and refine business requirements in dialogue with local key users and global stakeholders to drive continuous system and process improvements
- Proactively advise, enable, and train local service units on global processes and applications
- Create new training material and ensure sustainable process documentation
What will convince us
- University degree in economics or engineering (e.g., industrial engineering) or completed relevant vocational training with practical experience
- Professional experience in a similar position in service operations, business process management, or service‑related roles at the interface of business and IT
- Experience in applying process improvement and project management methods
- High affinity for change processes and the ability to convince and inspire others
- Ability to empathize with the requirements of the local operational service business teams while keeping a focus on global process harmonization
- Strong hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ideally with focus on CS, SD and MM modules (ideally in a service environment)
- Experience working in technically oriented service and relevant field service management software (ideally Service1) an advantage
- Experience in Salesforce an advantage
- Very good written and spoken English skills; German skills are an advantage
- Intercultural competence and willing to travel internationally (approx. 10%)
