If you're eager to turn ideas into reality and enjoy taking technology to the next level, the Software Development Team at NEURA offers the perfect challenge for you.
Full‑time from today.
Define the Blueprint: Serve as the senior technical authority on certification standards (ISO 13849, ISO 10218, IEC 61508, ISO 12100) and compliance strategies for the entire robotic product portfolio; be the go‑to expert for complex certification decisions.
Navigate the Unknown: Develop certification strategies for novel robotic architectures (collaborative robots, mobile manipulators, humanoids) where standards coverage is incomplete or evolving; drive risk‑based argumentation in semi‑standardized domains.
Evidence & Argumentation: Build and maintain the certification case structure, defining argumentation frameworks, evidence mapping, and compliance matrices; assess design evidence and test reports for certification sufficiency and technical defensibility.
Authority Dialogue: Act as Neura's primary technical liaison with notified bodies (TÜV, SGS, UL, Intertek) and certification authorities at the senior working level; represent the company in complex negotiations on scope, technical feasibility, and conformity routes.
Coach & Mentor: Design and deliver targeted training and mentorship programs for the Certification Engineering team; build internal capability on certification strategy, standards interpretation, and notified body engagement.
Standards Forecasting: Monitor standards evolution (incl. ISO/TR 23482, ISO 13482, ISO/TR 25785‑1, EU AI Act implications, emerging autonomous robotics guidance) and proactively assess impact on certification scope, timelines, and strategy.
Knowledge Architect: Document certification strategies, precedents, lessons learned, and risk‑based argumentation frameworks to build institutional knowledge and accelerate certification timelines for future products.
Seniority & Certification Body Background: 5+ years of hands‑on experience in product certification, conformity assessment, or regulatory engineering for machinery, robotics, or comparable complex systems; prior experience inside a certification body (TÜV, Exida, SGS, etc.) is a definite advantage.
Standards Mastery: Expert-level understanding of EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, CE marking, ISO 13849, ISO 10218, IEC 61508, ISO 12100, and EMC/LVD requirements; working knowledge of ISO 26262 and ISO/PAS 21448 (SOTIF) is a strong plus.
Risk-Based Argumentation: Demonstrated expertise developing certification strategies for semi-standardized or novel domains where full standards coverage does not exist; able to defend technical argumentation to notified bodies on novel robotic architectures (humanoids, AI-enabled systems).
Authority Engagement: Proven track record of collaborative, direct interactions with notified bodies, test laboratories, and certification authorities; experience negotiating scope, timelines, and conformity assessment routes at the technical and organizational level.
