Commercial Account Executive - Remote Eligible

Own the end-to-end sales cycle for ThoughtSpot commercial accounts from prospecting to close.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $115,000 - 165,000 USD / year

About The Role

Due to growth, we are looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our team at ThoughtSpot. The right candidate for this position will have a demonstrated history of success in selling software & services, preferably in the Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics space. The ability to work independently in a rapidly growing environment is important, as is the ability to work with an early‑stage technical product that provides real value to both technical and non‑technical audiences. A value‑based sales approach and ‘first on the ground’ experience is a major advantage.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and manage a territory of Digital Native Commercial accounts, focusing on winning new ThoughtSpot customers.
  • Generate pipeline through proactive prospecting and make it a core business activity.
  • Develop new opportunities, establish trust and credibility with end‑users, influencers, and decision makers at all levels, conduct product demonstrations in person and via web‑based technologies, and manage complex sales cycles with large companies.

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years quota carrying experience in a technology sales environment; prior inside sales experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while partnering with internal and external business partners to sell solutions priced at $50,000+.
  • Well‑spoken and poised; ability to command a room and bring energy.
  • Leadership and influencing skills recognized by peers.
  • Strong growth mindset and openness to training and coaching.
  • Ability to track sales metrics and performance for personal improvement.

Benefits

Est. annual range $115k–$165k per year. Compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience and location. Benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Mandatory and Required Skills for All ThoughtSpot Roles

  • Demonstrate AI literacy and workflow integration; integrate AI into daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
  • Hands‑on experience leveraging AI tools (industry‑leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
  • Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
  • Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.
  • Exemplify key AI Mindset traits: curiosity in exploring new AI tools, adaptability to quickly learn and implement emerging AI technologies, critical thinking to identify when AI should be used versus when human judgment is necessary.
