Job Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Revenue Accounting, the Director of Global Solutions Group Revenue Accounting is responsible for the end-to-end revenue lifecycle for the small and mid-market business segment. This leader oversees revenue accounting, revenue operations, and credit & collections across Intuit’s Global Solutions Group, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance of revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP and ASC 606. They lead a high‑performing finance team, collaborate across the finance organization to deliver on strategic goals, and manage the integrity of revenue reporting and risk mitigation for billions of dollars in transaction volume.

This role requires a deep understanding of monetization systems, business acumen, customer empathy, technical revenue and accounting expertise, revenue operations experience, and a governance mindset. The Director partners cross‑functionally with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Legal teams to assess new offerings, define proper treatment, and influence scalable solutions that balance all stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting

  • Lead the Global Business Group revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Own month‑end and quarter‑end close processes related to revenue recognition, complying with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Provide technical revenue guidance and assess accounting implications for new product offerings and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure SOX compliance for all revenue accounting processes.
  • Build relationships with leaders in Accounting, Tax, and Finance to facilitate high‑quality decision‑making.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Legal teams on new product launches, pricing strategies, and deal structures to ensure financial integrity.

Revenue Operations

  • Design and optimize the end‑to‑end revenue operations process from contract creation to cash collection, including new processes for enterprise contracts.
  • Develop and execute strategy for automation of processes and systems, partnering with technology and product leaders.
  • Lead the design of systems and operational functionality to support new business initiatives with sound financial principles.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end processes across teams to ensure data quality for revenue automation and reporting.
  • Develop and implement key performance metrics for revenue operations effectiveness.

Credit & Collections

  • Oversee global credit and collections operations, ensuring efficient cash management and strong customer relationships.
  • Develop credit policies and risk management frameworks aligned with business growth.
  • Monitor days sales outstanding and collection performance; drive continuous improvement through analytics.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve disputes and improve billing processes.

Qualifications

The Director of Revenue Accounting must be an accomplished finance and business leader with a track record of running successful revenue teams. They should bring a collaborative approach and deep domain expertise in technical revenue accounting and operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and operate from an end‑to‑end perspective.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 12+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting or controllership, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
    • Manager or Senior Manager in Public Accounting.
    • Proven track record leading revenue accounting and operations in a global enterprise software or SaaS company.
    • Deep understanding of technical revenue guidance, ASC 606.
    • Experience managing credit and collections teams.
  • Systems Expertise: Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), billing platforms, revenue recognition engines (Revstream, RevPro), and advanced Excel/data analytics tools; experience with billing/monetization projects.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire high‑performing, innovative teams; influence partners; drive transformation.
  • Communication: Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex accounting concepts to non‑finance audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range is $248,500 – $336,000. Additional rewards may include cash bonus, equity, benefits, and opportunities for performance-based awards. Equity rewards and benefits are governed by applicable Intuit plans and programs.
