Omnisent

Electronics Engineer (f/m/d)

Stellenbeschreibung:

Founded in late 2024, Omnisent is a Munich-based acoustic AI company developing next‑generation sensing systems that turn sound into real-time intelligence. The team combines deep expertise in physics, machine learning, and mechanical engineering — united by a mission to unlock the untapped intelligence of the acoustic world.

At the core of Omnisent’s innovation are ultra‑low‑power sonic devices and the company’s Large Acoustic Model (LAM) — a foundation model trained on the complex world of non‑speech audio. This unique combination enables the real‑time detection, classification, and localization of acoustic events — whether identifying drones in contested airspace or tracing air leaks in manufacturing systems.

Tasks

  • Design and optimize ultra‑low‑noise, low‑power mixed‑signal electronics for advanced sensing systems.
  • Develop analog and mixed‑signal front‑ends , including amplification, filtering, and ADC interfacing, with a focus on precision, stability, and efficiency.
  • Lead PCB layout with emphasis on EMI/EMC‑aware design, grounding strategies, and robust signal integrity.
  • Prototype and manufacture PCBs in‑house , including assembly, bring‑up, and debugging.
  • Define and execute product‑level electronics testing , including noise analysis, performance validation, and system‑level integration tests.
  • Ensure designs align with compliance standards , and coordinate with external testing houses as needed.
  • Play a key role in DFM/DFT refinement and electronics‑focused product lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with EMS partners on NPI builds, production feedback, and yield optimization.
  • Work closely with RF and mechanical teams to ensure clean integration of electronics into compact, ruggedized hardware.

Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in analog/mixed‑signal design and PCB development.
  • Strong knowledge of low‑noise analog design, grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC principles.
  • Proficiency with PCB design software (Altium, KiCad, etc.).
  • Hands‑on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, signal generators).
  • Understanding of compliance standards and designing electronics for certification.
  • Experience with DFM/DFT and taking hardware into production.
  • Strong communication skills in English (German a plus).
  • EU work authorization.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with precision sensing systems.
  • Prior collaboration with EMS partners on production builds.
  • Familiarity with formal product lifecycle processes (PLM, ECO workflows).
  • Experience participating in compliance/EMC test campaigns.
  • Startup experience with a desire to help build a category‑defining product.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Highly competitive cash comp, along with virtual stock options, that reflect your experience and the value you bring.
  • Accelerated Learning & Growth: Join a fast‑paced environment where you’ll take on real responsibility, overcome meaningful challenges, and grow alongside a driven team.
  • Make a Real Impact: Play a key role in shaping Omnisent’s journey and contribute directly to the success of the company.

Join us in redefining how the world listens, understands, and responds through intelligent acoustic sensing.
