Elektroingenieur / Design Engineer - (EPLAN + ECAD)

My client is a specialist renewable and electrical engineering company delivering high-quality design and integration solutions across grid infrastructure, transformer systems, and industrial power projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with strong EPLAN Pro Panel expertise and ideally experience working with German DSOs/TSO and transformer integrators, transformer stations, LV Switchboards.

Strong/Fluent German language skills required. Unfortunately we can not accept any candidates looking to relocate or candidates that do not have the suitable language requirements.

The Role

You will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for substations, transformer installations, and grid connection projects across Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of panel layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Design of control cabinets and LV/MV systems
• Collaboration with transformer manufacturers and grid operators
• Support for manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning teams
• Compliance with German electrical standards (DIN, VDE, IEC)

Requirements

• Proven experience with EPLAN Pro Panel
• Background in electrical design engineering (industrial, energy, or utilities)
• Experience working with German DSOs (regional grid operators) or transformer integrators / manufacturers
• Knowledge of substation, transformer, or grid connection projects
• Fluent German (please note that strong German language skills required) and English
• Experience with MV/HV projectsSubstation automation or protection systems knowledge
• Experience with panel manufacturing or system integration
