Hardware Developer (m/f/d) Functional Safety

• Development, calculation, documentation, and testing of circuit modules
• Integration of circuit modules into functionally safe assemblies
• Conducting circuit and layout reviews
• Technical coordination and collaboration with internal departments (software development, mechanical development, and manufacturing)
• Conducting development-related tests for e.g., EMC, environmental, and functional aspects
• Calculation of safety-related metrics, e.g., using FMEDAs
• Documentation of development statuses
• Support during certification testing with external testing bodies

• Successful completion of a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field
• Experience in circuit and layout design as well as the selection of electronic components is desirable
• Knowledge of fieldbus systems, e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP
• Ideally, knowledge in the field of functional safety (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC
• An understanding of diagnostic coverage and safe failure fraction, as well as experience with safety mechanisms such as watchdogs, diversity, and plausibility checks, is desirable
• Enthusiasm and interest in innovation and technology
• High reliability and a passion for dedicated and team-oriented collaboration
• Very good German language skills (at least C2 level or native speaker) and good English language skills (at least B2 level)
