HVDC Project Engineering IT Network Communication - Erlangen/Forchheim - (M/F/X)

Key Responsibilities

• Processing of the IT network communication component (LAN/WAN communication, time synchronization) in the control system
• Project engineering – creation and maintenance of specifications and manuals
• Creation of configurations for the various control system components (routers, switches, terminal servers, firewalls, etc.)
• System integration and commissioning of the various components in the test setup
• Execution/support of FPT (Functional Performance Test) and DPT (Dynamic Performance Test)

Qualifications

• At least a relevant vocational qualification or Bachelor's degree in communication/electrical or automation engineering
• 2–3 years of professional experience in network communication in an industrial environment
• Sound expertise in industrial network communication and time synchronization systems (TCP/IP Ethernet configuration, LAN, WAN)
• Sound knowledge of configuring communication components (switches, routers, firewalls, Cisco, Ruggedcom, Checkpoint, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of the security and hardening of IT components, networks, and applications
• German and English skills required
• After an initial training period and individual agreement, approximately 50% mobile working is generally possible
