Index Operations is organized in four units: Index Surveillance and Monitoring, Index Review, Corporate Actions, and Index Data Research, operating across six locations—Frankfurt, Zug, Prague, New York, Hong‑Kong, and Delhi. The unit handles day‑to‑day activities related to the maintenance of indices under STOXX mandates, covering EURO STOXX 50, STOXX Europe 50, STOXX Europe 600, DAX indices, Bulgarian Exchange indices, and custom indices.
Responsibilities
- Part of a dynamic team across several locations, responsible for STOXX and DAX index families.
- Periodic review of index compositions by applying index rules as defined in the methodology and familiarizing with a wide variety of methodologies.
- Participate in new projects such as definition and integration of new index concepts into the regular review process, coordinating automation with IT, and performing non‑routine activities.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organization on methodology enhancements, regulations, and client queries.
- Drive process improvements to ensure consistent data quality for equity indices during reviews.
- Communicate index review details to client‑directed questions and requests in English and German (C1 minimum).
- Contribute as a key growth area for the company and work independently as a team player.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in finance, economics, econometrics, or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in a financial environment—Index Business, Portfolio Business, Asset Management, Product Development, or Structuring—and an understanding of the financial markets environment, its working constraints, and philosophy.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with knowledge of corporate actions’ impacts on an index.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks efficiently and autonomously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Self‑starter capable of learning autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English and German (oral and written).
- Team player with good communication skills, highly motivated, flexible, and solution‑oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Access and VBA programming skills, ideally combined with database knowledge and SQL.
- Experience in corporate actions management, index operations, securities and listed companies operations, data analysis/cleansing, data processing rules and techniques, and a good knowledge of reference and market data applications such as Refinitiv and Bloomberg.
- Fluency in a second or third European language—Spanish, French, or Italian—(oral and written).
