Junior Corporate Compliance Specialist

To strengthen our Corporate Compliance function, we are looking for a Junior Corporate Compliance Specialist to support the Senior Compliance Manager in advancing the GLS Compliance Program.

In this role, you will manage complex and specialized compliance matters, ensuring legally sound and pragmatic solutions across key areas such as anti-corruption, anti-bribery, competition and antitrust law, sanctions, and anti-money laundering. You will also play a key role in shaping and further developing our Group-wide Compliance Framework, while guiding and supporting local Compliance Managers across 21 countries.

Your office will be located in Eschborn, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support to the entire GLS organization on different compliance matters.
  • Contributing to the further development of the Group-wide GLS Compliance Management System.
  • Adapting existing global policies and processes, as well as creating new ones to meet evolving regulatory and business requirements.
  • Enhancing the compliance trainings, including developing and delivering training for the compliance organization as well as relevant departments and country compliance managers.
  • Monitoring legal compliance trends and ensuring effective support for new initiatives, including the rollout of training and communication campaigns.
  • Independently responding to and handling all compliance-related inquiries and supporting country compliance managers in assessing and resolving compliance-relevant issues and compliance-related questions.
  • Supporting the global network of country compliance managers in implementing the Corporate Compliance Standards and integrating new entities or countries into the Compliance Management System.
  • Collaborating closely with key interface functions, particularly Legal, Sales and Procurement in compliance-relevant areas such as drafting, reviewing and negotiating compliance aspects of contracts or supporting customers’ compliance checks as well as supporting the supplier risk assessment.
  • Collecting, analyzing and monitoring compliance reporting from the countries, and supporting the preparation of reports to GLS committees and governing bodies.
  • Strengthening the compliance network, communicating and exchanging with the country compliance managers, including organizing half-year calls and yearly in-person meetings.

Your profile

  • A completed degree in Law, Business Law, Business Administration, or a comparable field forms the foundation of your expertise.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in Compliance, Legal, Auditing, or Investigation, ideally gained in an international environment.
  • Passion for compliance with a proactive, results-driven approach, a hands‑on mentality, and the ability to present legal and technical issues in a practical manner.
  • Enjoy working in international teams, combined with strong intercultural competence and excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Accuracy and a structured, analytical mindset combined with sound knowledge of economic factors and an interest in practical compliance solutions.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications for efficient and structured work.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
