Stellenbeschreibung:

Project Buyer Mechanics (human)

Neura Robotics • Metzingen

Job type: Full‑time

Your Impact on Innovation and Production

In Supply Chain Management, you ensure everything is available at the right time, in perfect quality, and at fair prices. Whether it’s production materials, development projects, or services, you’re making ideas come to life. You’ll keep an eye on things like procurement, coordinating material flows, optimizing processes, and building strong relationships with suppliers. Working closely with teams from logistics, development, and sales, you actively shape what drives our company forward. Our logistics team keeps things moving: you ensure that all materials are reliably transported—from sourcing to the delivery of finished robots. Whether it’s between our locations or to customers around the world, logistics keeps everything running smoothly. If you’re eager to take on responsibility, find solutions, and celebrate successes with a dynamic team, this is the place for you.

Responsibilities

  • Independent sourcing of mechanical components and assemblies such as CNC‑machined parts, turned and milled components, sheet metal parts, mechanical assemblies, housings, drive components, and precision mechanical parts.
  • Identification, selection, and development of suitable suppliers for mechanical components – from specialized manufacturers to international production suppliers.
  • Conducting technical and commercial bid comparisons and independently leading price and contract negotiations with a focus on mechanical commodities.
  • Close collaboration with mechanical engineering, development, and project teams to ensure component availability throughout the entire product lifecycle – from prototypes to series production.
  • Active risk management for mechanical components (e.g., capacity constraints, manufacturing risks, second sources, lifecycle management).
  • Ensuring on‑time delivery and monitoring supplier quality, delivery performance, and technical requirements.
  • Monitoring and analyzing global sourcing markets and manufacturing technologies in the mechanical field.
  • Contributing to the development and optimization of procurement processes, tools, and ERP structures in project purchasing.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in technical purchasing, ideally with a focus on mechanical components or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, turning/milling, sheet metal fabrication, surface treatments, assembly manufacturing).
  • Ability to understand technical requirements, analyze drawings and bills of materials, and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Experience in project purchasing, ideally in development and series production environments.
  • Strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented working style in a dynamic development environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and a solid understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
