Project Designer & Estimator – Commercial Kitchens & Retail Shop Fitting

About the Role

We are looking for a versatile Specialist in Design and Technical Estimation to join the team at iGastroNomic. You will bridge the gap between creative concept and commercial reality, designing the "heart" of a business—from specialized kitchen equipment for high-end hotels to the complete interior layout (Ladenbau) of global brands.

This is a dual-impact role requiring high-level 3D/2D modeling skills and the analytical mindset needed to win government and hospitality tenders.

Your Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering: Create precise 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks for commercial kitchen units and full-scale retail shop fitting layouts.
• Project Planning: Develop end-to-end store designs, ensuring that equipment (coffee machines, refrigeration, cooking stations) is perfectly integrated into the spatial flow—think the efficiency of a Starbucks or KFC.
• Tender Management: Lead the technical preparation for large-scale tenders, including government hotel projects and international franchise rollouts.
• Technical Calculation: Provide accurate cost estimations and material lists to ensure competitive and profitable bidding.

Who You Are

• The Technical Expert: You are a pro in SolidWorks and comfortable switching between 2D technical drawings and 3D visualizations.
• The Industry Veteran: You have a background in Commercial Kitchen Equipment and/or Retail Shop Fitting (Ladenbau). You understand how a store functions, not just how it looks.
• The Strategist: You know how to navigate tender documents and can calculate complex projects with precision.
• The Visionary: You can visualize the customer journey in a restaurant or cafe and translate that into a functional, technical floor plan.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering or interior design within the gastronomy/retail sector.
• Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software.
• Strong experience in Project Calculation and responding to high-stakes tenders.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German or Turkish is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work from our headquarters in Nackenheim.
