Position Overview:

As a Prüftechniker / Inbetriebnehmer in the field of Schutztechnik, you will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and maintaining protection systems in high-voltage environments. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and technicians to verify that protection devices and systems are installed correctly, function as required, and meet safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing and Commissioning: Perform testing and commissioning of protection relays and systems in high-voltage substations to ensure correct functionality and reliability.
• Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protection systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed test reports, documentation, and commissioning protocols, maintaining accurate records of all activities and results.
• Calibration and Adjustment: Calibrate and adjust protection devices according to specifications, ensuring accurate performance and compliance with technical requirements.
• Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project engineers, electricians, and field technicians to coordinate commissioning activities and resolve technical issues.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines during testing and commissioning activities.
• Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting: Perform fault analysis and troubleshoot issues within protection systems, implementing corrective actions to ensure system reliability.
• Client Communication: Engage with clients to provide updates on commissioning status, address questions, and explain technical processes where needed.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Completed technical training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field. Additional certifications in protection technology are an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in protection technology, testing, or commissioning in the energy or utility sector.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of protection systems, relays, and high-voltage technology, with experience in relay testing equipment (e.g., Omicron, Doble).
• Analytical Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in protection systems effectively.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in German (required) and English (preferred) to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
• Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel to various project sites as needed for testing and commissioning work.
