Location: James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, DE. Schedule: Full Time Day Shift (12 hours).
Position: Full-Time.

Summary

The CQI nurse monitors patients from intake to the facility and ensures continuity of care leading up to and following release into the community by advocating for patient needs while acting as a liaison between the multiple systems impacting the lives of offenders. This proactive and collaborative approach serves the patient population in a correctional environment. The Care Management (CQI)-Registered Nurse oversees daily care management case calls and site logs, including infirmary placement, COVID monitoring, behavioral health patients, hunger strikes, and crisis management.
