Sacher Lasertechnik GmbH offers within the BMBF QEED Research Project a job opportunity for a highly motivated, quality conscious Researcher. The qualified candidate will work within our R&D team on the development of a compact diode laser system for medical applications and quantum technologies.

Qualifications

Education: MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physical Engineering or Optical Engineering is required
Career Stage: Early Stage Researcher, MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, Post Doctorate
Travel Requirements: up to 10% travel required
Work Experience: Experience in Laser Control Electronics and Lasers, Laser Devices at MSc level is required

Type of Position: Full Time, Temporary for 5 years

Location: Marburg, Germany

Job Type: Full-time research position within QEED project

Job Description & Responsibilities

Development of FPGA based control systems for miniaturized Laser Systems. There will be the option for a PhD thesis within the project work. Responsibilities include:

Printed Circuit Development, Layout, and Testing
Programming of FPGA based control devices
Implementation of the developed PCBs into laser diode optoelectronic devices

There is an opportunity to pursue a PhD thesis within the project.
