SAP Business Analyst (m/f/d) User Administration, Roles & Privileges

Your responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain SAP authorization and access concepts in line with internal and external compliance requirements
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into SAP roles, privileges, and processes
  • Define and document authorization concepts aligned with job roles, business processes, and organizational units
  • Ensure proper Segregation of Duties (SoD) and handling of sensitive data
  • Manage user access processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and periodic access reviews
  • Configure and maintain SAP roles and authorizations using standard SAP tools (e.g. PFCG)
  • Administer users and roles in central user administration and SSO environments
  • Manage transports of roles and profiles across system landscapes (DEV, QA, PROD)
  • Support audits, internal control activities, and SAP license reviews
  • Advise and support business and project teams on authorization best practices
  • Collaborate closely with SAP Basis, IT, and project teams, and support testing and go‑live activities

Your profile

  • Degree in an IT‑related field or equivalent qualification
  • Strong experience in SAP user, role, and authorization management, ideally in SAP S/4
  • Good knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance topics
  • Experience designing and implementing SAP authorization concepts
  • Understanding of SAP ERP processes and system landscapes
  • Knowledge of Fiori authorization concepts
  • Basic ABAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience in international and/or large SAP projects is a plus
  • Fluent in English; German skills are an advantage
