Senior Growth Manager

Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Growth Manager based in Germany. This is a senior commercial position within the Growth function.

The role is responsible for winning new mandates as well as the strategic expansion of existing client relationships in the German market. This is a high-impact, externally focused position that engages with legal departments at the most senior level and builds trusted relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing target-account and acquisition strategy in Germany, with a focus on mandates aligned to the firms's capabilities and growth priorities
  • Owening and strategically developing a portfolio of key client relationships, including identifying opportunities to expand and deepen engagement.
  • Leading commercial discussions and negotiations with clients at decision-maker level, with the objective of delivering robust and sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with intermediaries, referral networks and partner-led channels to extend the market reach in Germany.
  • Contributing to the go-to-market strategy through market knowledge, sector perspective and commercial insights that support decisions on positioning and target-client definition.
  • Working closely with relationship partners in Germany and internationally to ensure a coordinated and complementary approach to client engagement.
  • Partnering with the Head of Growth on pipeline management, revenue forecasting and opportunity prioritization.

Candidate profile:

  • Several years’ experience in business development, client management or commercial leadership within a law firm, an ALSP, or a comparable professional-services environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning new mandates and expanding senior-level client relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence discussing pricing, contract structures and delivery models.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel and Heads of Legal Operations and to build trust at peer level.
  • Deep understanding of the German legal and advisory market, including decision-making structures within German corporates and mid-sized companies.
  • Knowledge of the ALSP market, legal managed services, and the evolving needs of in-house legal teams.
  • Collaborative, partner-oriented working style with the ability to operate effectively in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent written and spoken German communication skills; good English skills for working in an international context.
