Overview

As a Senior Sales Manager – Commercial Vehicle, you will take ownership of a defined customer portfolio and play a key role in driving our international business development. Your role will be pivotal in driving sales success through proactive engagement in global sales environments. You will actively shape and execute sales strategies, acting as a trusted partner to our customers while focusing on identifying and capturing high‑potential business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • You develop and execute strategic account and market plans for your assigned customer portfolio.
  • You build, nurture, and expand long‑term customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • You proactively identify new business opportunities while continuously monitoring market trends and competitive activities.
  • You lead offer preparation and contract negotiations, coordinating acquisition activities both strategically and operationally.
  • You create meaningful sales reports and forecasts, ensuring high data quality and transparency within the CRM system.
  • You represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and industry events to actively expand your professional network.

Necessary Skills

  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the commercial vehicles sector, ideally in a similar role or as an Account Manager or a Business Developer.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to understand complex customer requirements and translate them into tailored solutions.
  • Strong initiative, results‑driven mindset, and entrepreneurial way of thinking that supports business growth and the pursuit of new opportunities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in international teams and engage with customers across different cultural contexts (intercultural competence).
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis.
  • Languages: English at C1 level or higher; German skills are an advantage.

Desired Skills

  • Strong understanding of automotive technical domains and value chains.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and a data‑driven approach to managing sales activities.
