(Senior) Technical Expert Payment Solutions (gn) Vollzeit/Teilzeit (hybrid)

Position Overview

Full‑time or part‑time (minimum 30 h per week). The role is located at our Ratingen hub and follows a 60/40 hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to strategic payment projects and coordinate colleagues with sub‑project ownership in cross‑functional payment initiatives.
• Oversee ongoing development of payment solutions in close collaboration with external service providers, internal stakeholders, and management.
• Coordinate technical providers, particularly the processing service provider, connected systems, and additional partners.
• Support the stable operation of the processing system and, after onboarding, participate in on‑call duty.
• Act as a technical point of contact, advising internal departments on payment instruments and processes within the fuel station and tolling environment.
• Create technical feasibility studies and specifications, and manage analysis, specification, testing, and certification of business requirements for IT solutions.
• Independently develop studies and concepts, collaborating with Product Management, Corporate Development, other IT teams, and the Security Officer on new payment solutions.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Solid knowledge of payment, card, and transaction processing or electronic payment systems.
• Strong technical understanding of payment system architectures, authorization systems, and interfaces to external service providers, with experience in analyzing, specifying, and implementing product requirements.
• Experience creating technical specifications and feasibility studies.
• Experience with payment processes in acceptance environments (e.g., POS systems, fuel stations, toll systems) is an advantage.
• Experience in test management and certification processes for payment solutions is desirable; basic knowledge of IT security and compliance requirements in the payment environment is also desirable.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
