Strategic Buyer

For my customer in Berlin, I am looking for a Strategic Buyer to join their team.

The role requires fluency in German and English.

The role is under Arbeitnehmeruberlassung contract for 18 months initially and will require 2-3 days onsite in Berlin.

The responsibilities and requirements include:

CATEGORY STRATEGY

Formulate and implement commodity strategies in the IT software area; holistic portfolio management aligned with company objectives and KPIs

TENDER MANAGEMENT

Process and lead procurement tenders; conduct procurement negotiations with suppliers

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

Coordinate contract management across the supplier base

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

Conduct market analyses on suppliers and new developments/trends in IT software procurement

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS

Participate in cross-functional teams; act as subject matter project lead for procurement topics

DECISION PAPERS

Create decision papers and management presentations for stakeholders

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS – EXCLUSION IF NOT MET

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in strategic procurement – hard exclusion criterion
• Minimum 5 years specifically in strategic procurement of IT software – general procurement is not sufficient
• Experience leading tender processes as the responsible person – must be demonstrated
