Position: Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) – Key Technology Commodity

Responsibilities

• Supplier Relationship Management (40%): identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, attend supplier meetings/visits, maintain strong relationships with key suppliers via SBR’s, collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality), negotiate and manage contract administration, improve supplier OTD, and support site inventory target management.
• Project Management (30%): ideate and execute cost‑saving projects, own Strategic Sourcing visual management (DVM), stay current on emerging technologies/materials/best practices in Key Tech commodities and supply chain management, monitor market trends & industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and risk mitigation, partner with Supplier Quality to execute supplier qualifications (FAIR, PPAP, etc.), and optimize supply chain design to maximize adherence to DMS principles and IMAG.
• Customer (Internal & External) Relationship Management (15%): collaborate with Ops, R&D, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Product Management, support external customers as necessary, and drive OTD.
• Strategy Execution (15%): deliver the Key Technology Commodity Strategy.
• Domestic/International travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier Relationship Management with a focus on Key Tech commodities.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Tech market, including materials, processes, pricing dynamics, and supplier landscape.
• Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance.
• Ability to travel up to 30% internationally.
• Fluency in German and English.

• Building, maintaining, and fostering relationships with internal cross‑functional stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ability to adapt, think critically, and solve problems under pressure.
• Continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Global sourcing experience for a global manufacturing company.

Location: Onsite in Portsmouth, UK or Bad Kreuznach, Germany.
