Technical Pre-Sales/ Sales Overlay - Automotive

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Sales Overlay to bridge the gap between business development and engineering, driving technical conversations with customers in the connected mobility and digital ecosystem.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where you will work closely with sales teams to shape, position, and defend complex technology solutions across OEMs, Tier-1s, and mobility players.

You will play a critical role in winning deals, not just supporting them.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales teams to drive technical engagement across the deal lifecycle, from discovery to closure
• Lead deep-dive technical discussions with customers in connected mobility, digital platforms, and software-defined vehicle ecosystems
• Own and deliver high-quality responses to RFPs and RFQs, including solution architecture, scope definition, and effort estimation
• Represent the organization in RFQ defense meetings, articulating solution value, trade-offs, and differentiators
• Translate customer requirements into scalable, realistic solution architectures leveraging cloud, data, and embedded systems
• Work with engineering and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment

Required Experience & Skills

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting, with increasing customer-facing exposure
• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), APIs, and data-driven architectures
• Experience in connected mobility, automotive software, digital platforms, or IoT ecosystems
• Proven track record of supporting or leading RFP/RFQ responses and technical solutioning
• Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders, including senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or mobility providers
• Exposure to software-defined vehicles, telematics, infotainment, or ADAS ecosystems
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software delivery practices in complex environments
• Understanding of AI/ML or data-driven systems
• Education: Bachelor in Engineering (Minimum required), Masters in Engineering
