At the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg the members of the International Opera Studio attend additional courses (singing lessons, accompaniment and opera history/dramaturgy). In addition, they can take other elective courses to professionalize, such as scenic-dramatic lessons, acting lessons, speech design, movement/dance/physical training. Participation in master classes is also possible. If possible, the scholarship holders will participate in a university production.

The scholarship of the Internationales Opernstudio Nürnberg are represented with small and medium-sized roles in the current repertoire pieces. As part of the opera studio's training program, the members naturally also take part in rehearsals and performances of the opera studio's own productions. In addition, they receive application and audition training as well as information on theater and contract law and theater organization.

Compensation: members of the opera studio receive a monthly scholarship and, depending on requirements, a fee for participating in performances.

Requirements

• completed university degree in singing (at least a Bachelor's degree)
• German language skills B1 (CEFR: Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
