Our Commodity & Energy Trading Practice

We are looking for experienced Consultants, Directors and more to join our German team. Macro events and the energy transition are reshaping commodity and energy markets, creating significant opportunities for the right skill sets. Our trading‑focused group works across Europe, the US, and Singapore, engaging clients in metals, oil, shipping, LNG, and clean‑fuel markets to evolve their trading businesses and digital capabilities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Transform trading systems: implement, upgrade, and select systems for market‑leading traders, including innovative product launch support.
• Restructure business models: design and deliver operating models for complex global organisations covering the full trading and commodity lifecycle.
• Lead digital transformation: build and deliver digital trading consulting capabilities, including data‑driven trading platforms.
• Provide risk advisory: strengthen risk‑management frameworks, analyse and design mitigation strategies, improve governance and reporting, and implement best‑practice solutions.

Your Skills and Experience

• Clear knowledge of commodity and/or energy trading markets, gained in consulting or industry roles.
• Ability to own projects and deliver results in challenging, client‑facing environments.
• Additional skills (depending on level) may include:
  • Project/Programme Manager and/or Agile delivery.
  • Business analysis or strong analytical skills.
  • Data strategy, architecture, and management.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• German fluency and English proficiency.
• Specialism in key areas such as Power trading, Oil & Bulk Commodities, LNG & Clean Fuels, or Freight & Shipping is highly valued.
