AI Product Expert (f/m/d) with focus on Service Management (Cloud Operations)

Join SAP’s Service Management Processes and Solutions team to harmonize and optimize support & cloud operations processes on a user‑centric platform, focusing on AI‑driven Service Management (SMPS) solutions for cloud operations such as Incident Management.

What you’ll do

  • Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for agent‑based AI products aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Advocate data‑driven product‑led methodologies to grow through customer insights and usage data.
  • Develop business cases with stakeholders and measure the value generated by implementations.
  • Collaborate with the product owner to prioritize features and capabilities based on customer needs, business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead ideation, prototyping and validation of AI agents, tool integrations, and autonomous workflows.
  • Stay ahead of advances in agentic AI, safety, compliance, and UX—mentoring colleagues on modern AI product thinking.
  • Partner with engineering, data, and design teams to translate requirements into epics and acceptance criteria.
  • Define and track success metrics, driving adoption by leveraging user feedback and data for continuous improvement.

What you bring

Strong background in product or project management with a clear and compelling product vision that resonates with the company strategy. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills; a proven ability to coordinate across international teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Role requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, business engineering, information technology, AI, product management or related fields.
  • Proven product management experience in AI/ML, data or technical products (ideally with LLMs, GenAI, autonomous/multi‑agent systems).
  • Deep understanding of agentic AI concepts, orchestration, RAG, tool use, prompt engineering and evaluation.
  • Experience in project management: defining roadmaps, analytical thinking and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication ability with stakeholders at all management levels.
  • Prioritization of features and requirements based on business value and customer needs.
  • Experience defining KPIs, analyzing user feedback, and iterating products responsibly with awareness of compliance, safety and bias.
  • Proficient in English and German.
  • Quick learner, passionate, motivated and self‑managed; familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, etc.) and cloud‑native technology is a plus.
