What will I be doing as an Application Sales Engineer
The Honeywell Application Sales Engineer works closely with the Regional Sales Team and the Regional channel partners within the region providing technical preâsales advice and guidance on Honeywell solutions. The Application Sales Engineer reports to the DACH ASE Manager.
By being the technology expert and through market knowledge ASE builds trust with our customers and is able to increase our share of wallet and improve customer onboarding and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the regional sales team to understand customer needs and propose tailored technical solutions that drive business growth.
- Act as the primary technical contact for the sales team, channel partners and consultants within the region.
- Deliver preâsales support including onâsite consultancy, quotations, tender assistance, Proof of Concept (PoC) execution and customized training.
- Organize and lead technical events such as presentations, demonstrations, tradeâshow setup and webinars for partners, endâusers and consultants.
- Support RFI / RFP processes including quoting in Salesforce, preparing Bill of Materials (BoM) and ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, engineering, product management, operations) to align technical strategies and ensure successful solution delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Handsâon experience with Honeywell or similar physical security solutions; strong network within the security industry.
- Solid knowledge of integrated security systems including access control, video management and IT/network infrastructure. Cloud and virtualization (VMware, HyperâV) skills are a plus.
- Ability to present technical topics clearly and confidently to various audiences, including large groups.
- Committed to continuous learning through training and peer collaboration.
- Curious and customerâfocused, asking the right questions, listening and building trust through tailored solutions.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% for remote and onsite activities across the region.
- Fluent in German and proficient in spoken English.
