What to Expect

As an Associate BIM & Asset Engineer, you will serve as the key interface between the Design Team and Technical Services. Your primary responsibility is to review BIM models and technical drawings and align them with the maintenance program to ensure full coverage of legally relevant and structurally critical assets. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring operational safety within the Gigafactory.

The position plays a critical role in optimizing internal processes, reducing external costs, and ensuring seamless integration of assets into maintenance workflows. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of new systems and technical changes.

What You'll Do

• Model and Drawing Review: Validate BIM models and technical drawings for completeness and compliance with maintenance requirements.
• Maintenance Program Alignment: Ensure all legally required and critical components are integrated into the maintenance system.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Identify gaps in asset coverage and prepare reports to mitigate risks.
• Process Optimization: Develop standards for incorporating new assets into the maintenance system.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with Design, EPC, Construction, and Technical Services to ensure smooth implementation of technical changes.
• Compliance Assurance: Monitor regulatory requirements and maintain documentation for audit readiness.

What You'll Bring

• Education: Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facility Management, or a related technical field.
• Experience:
• • Knowledge of BIM methodology and experience with tools such as Revit or similar platforms.
• Background in asset management, maintenance planning, or facility engineering.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and EHS standards.
• Technical Skills:
• • Ability to interpret and validate technical drawings and models.
• Basic knowledge of Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• • Proactive mindset and ability to solve complex problems independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams.
• Analytical thinking and high attention to detail.
• Language skills: German and English.
