The Technical Services department at Gigafactory Berlin's Building and Infrastructure team is seeking a motivated Building and Infrastructure Engineering Intern. This role will support the maintenance, optimization, and project management of critical infrastructure systems, including floor marking, floor coating structures, roofing, concrete, WHG areas, SHK systems, sanitary installations, piping, plumbing, brownfield areas, and similar construction and maintenance tasks. The intern will collaborate with various teams to ensure efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and the implementation of best practices for infrastructure systems.

What You'll Do

• Support the monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure systems, including floor markings, coatings, roofs, concrete structures, sanitary systems, and piping networks
• Partake in the development and execution of maintenance plans and operational procedures for building and infrastructure system
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Waste Management, and the Permitting team, to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards
• Assist in preparing reports on maintenance activities, system status, and compliance
• Participate in projects aimed at improving system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability within the factory infrastructure
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and structural plans
• Contribute to the planning and execution of small-scale infrastructure projects, including temporary and permanent installations
• Help in monitoring and ensuring the quality of contractor work related to infrastructure projects

What You'll Bring

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in civil engineering, construction engineering, construction management, industrial engineering, or a related field
• Interest in infrastructure management, construction processes, or facility maintenance
• Basic understanding of infrastructure systems such as flooring, roofing, plumbing, and piping is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in English (German is a plus)
