Customer Application Engineer Hardware (m/f/d) – Ref. N° R

Location: Arnstadt, Thüringen, Germany (On‑Site)

Responsibilities

• Oversee hardware design for ESTW and ETCS projects.
• Prepare technical offers and contribute expertise to system concepts.
• Define and materialise required components.
• Design hardware for interior, exterior, and control systems based on customer requirements (PT1).
• Prepare PT2 documentation for factory pre‑assembly, assembly, test, and acceptance.
• Verify design data and ensure quality.
• Act as a technical liaison for clients, planners, testers, and installers.

Qualifications

• Completed university or technical degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science, or a comparable field.
• Knowledge of railway signalling technology and understanding of operational railway processes preferred.
• Good English proficiency for international project communication.
• Routine use of CAD applications and solid MS‑Office skills.
• Independent, systematic, and conscientious work style.
