Job Description

Sandisk is seeking a Sales/Channel Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The role focuses on taking over and developing existing Key Accounts/Channels in the region, defining potentials, researching customers, and driving sell-out strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Take over and develop existing Key Accounts/Channels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
  • Define potentials and non-potentials of new customers in channel to set new activities.
  • Identify, research and conduct analysis on customers and prospects within various vertical markets. Profile these customers to develop applications for our products.
  • Work closely with Channel Marketing / Business Marketing / Business Operation.
  • Sell and manage sell-out strategies and activities that help achieve sales targets, volume and market share by driving effective marketing programs for Distributor, Retailer, Etailer and VAR accounts in support of these goals.
  • Become fully trained to sell the technical features of the product and demonstrate the customer’s value of buying from Sandisk.
  • Become an expert in all Sandisk pricing/report systems like Model N and Salesforce.
  • Ensure that customers see the value added of Sandisk products over competitive products.
  • Analyze POS information for territorial quantitative goals.
  • Maintain technical skill of the storage industry through publications, trade shows and Sandisk training.
  • Apply innovation to develop corporate-approved marketing programs that increase sell-through and create greater brand equity.
  • Provide market research to Corporate Sales & Marketing for product launches, G2 and competitive analysis.
  • Report errors and strive for improvements in the accuracy of the POS report.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification
  • PREFERRED: Minimum 4 years in business with sales experience
  • Proven sales ability
  • SKILLS: Clearly communicate in English & the local language (verbal and written)
  • Independent, self-motivated and success-driven, yet willing to work within a team environment
  • Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work with minimal supervision
  • Sales experience a plus in the storage field
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook; SalesForce.com
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Discretion and decision-making
  • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions
  • Escalate problematic disputes to supervisor
  • Follows departmental and organizational policies and procedures
