YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain firmware for STM32 and other microcontrollersWork with high-power driver circuits (motor ESCs, LED drivers, and similar)Integrate sensors and implement calibration routinesDesign and implement control systems for motors, LEDs, and other subsystemsImplement and optimize communication protocols (I²C, UART, SPI, etc.)Develop and/or integrate and test wireless communication systems (FHSS, radio modems, LoRa, WiFi, Bluetooth)Contribute to battery management: charging circuits, monitoring, and safety featuresDevelop and implement all kinds of sensing/navigation/flight related algorithmsPerform simulations and analyze logfiles for debugging and optimizationDebug and bring-up new hardware platforms in close collaboration with our electronics teamSupport flight operations, flight testing, system validation, system maintenance and manufacturing
YOUR PROFILE:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Engineering or a related fieldSolid knowledge of C for embedded systems, C, C++, PythonHands-on experience with STM32 microcontrollers and related toolchainsUnderstanding of bus systems and debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG, etc.)Experience with high-power electronics (motor drivers, LED drivers, battery & charging circuits)Familiarity with sensors, sensor data processing and calibration methodsExperience with control systems in embedded environmentsKnowledge of radio communication systems (FHSS, LoRa, WiFi, Bluetooth)Experience with simulations and logfile analysisExperience with schematics and PCB layouts. Knowledge of Altium Designer is a plusStructured and transparent way of solving your challenges, using JIRA, Slack, and other toolsDrone knowledge and hands-on experience is a plus. You will test fly what you build!Self-reliant, hands-on, and motivated to see projects through to completionLocated in the Munich area and willing to work on-site at our office in GilchingWillingness to travel is a plus.
