We are looking for a Finance Data Scientist & Reporting Expert to play a pivotal role in transforming financial data into actionable insights. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining robust data infrastructure, developing automated reporting solutions, and building predictive models to support strategic decision-making across the finance organization.

Responsibilities

• Data Infrastructure & Automation: Design, build, and maintain scalable databases and data pipelines using SQL and Python to support financial reporting and analysis.
• Dashboard & Reporting Development: Create interactive dashboards and automated reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to visualize key financial metrics and KPIs.
• Predictive Modeling & Advanced Analytics: Develop and deploy machine learning models to forecast financial trends, assess risks, and support strategic planning.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, IT, and business units to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and implement automation solutions to improve accuracy and reduce manual workload.
• Ensure data governance and compliance with internal and external financial reporting standards.
• Support ad-hoc analysis requests from senior leadership.
• Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture within the finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in financial data analysis, reporting, or data science roles.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and dashboards.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with SAP (S/4 HANA preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling is an advantage.
