This role is ideal for a seasoned PR professional with a passion for consumer brands and a deep understanding of the German earned media landscape. You will play a pivotal part in supporting new business development and managing key consumer accounts, leveraging your expertise in media relations, project management, and strategic communications. The position offers a long-term engagement with the potential for ongoing collaboration, and may require a hybrid presence in Berlin or travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute PR strategies tailored to consumer brands within the German market
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and journalists
Write compelling press releases, media materials, and client communications
Oversee project management for multiple accounts, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and feedback
Support new business pitches and contribute to winning new accounts
Monitor media coverage and prepare detailed reports for clients
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align PR activities with broader marketing objectives

Skills and Requirements

Proven experience in public relations, preferably within the German consumer sector
Strong network of media contacts in Germany and a track record of securing earned media coverage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
Proficiency in developing and implementing PR strategies
Willingness to work in a hybrid capacity in Berlin or travel as required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
