Freelance Sales Director / Consultant (m/f/d) – Galerie Philippe Bober, Berlin

Galerie Philippe Bober is a Berlin-based exhibition space dedicated to bridging the worlds of contemporary art and cinema. The gallery showcases photography, video works, and moving image installations by a roster of internationally acclaimed artists and directors extending Philippe Bober’s work as a film producer and founder of Coproduction Office. We are looking for a freelance Sales Director or consultant to support the development of sales and strategic positioning of the gallery in Berlin and internationally.

Wir suchen eine*n freiberufliche*n Sales Director oder Berater*in, die*der die Entwicklung von Verkäufen sowie die strategische Positionierung der Galerie in Berlin und international unterstützt.

Responsibilities

Identify and connect with collectors, curators, art consultants, and institutional clients in Berlin and beyond.
Develop and implement a market and sales strategy for the gallery’s program and represented artists.
Build and maintain a professional contact network and client database.
Support communication and outreach for exhibitions, fairs, and events.
Collaborate with the gallery and production teams on proposals, presentations, and artist materials.

Profile

Strong existing network within the Berlin contemporary art scene (collectors, curators, and institutions).
Experience in art sales, gallery management, or cultural project development.
Excellent communication and networking skills.
Interest in both art and film, and an understanding of their intersection.
Organized, self-driven, and able to work independently.
Multilinguist, English prerequisite (German and French are a plus)
