German-Speaking Axway B2B Consultant (Remote)

Location: Remote (Europe-based preferred)

Client: German-based enterprise (industry: manufacturing, logistics, finance, etc.)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Axway B2B Consultant to join a remote integration team supporting a high-profile German client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing B2B integration solutions using Axway B2Bi , SecureTransport , and related technologies. Strong communication skills in both German and English are essential to liaise effectively with the client’s IT and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Axway B2B integration solutions tailored to client specifications.

• Configure, manage, and monitor Axway B2Bi, SecureTransport , and API Gateway environments.

• Manage onboarding of partners/trading partners , mapping of EDI/X12/EDIFACT formats, and protocol configurations (AS2, SFTP, FTP, etc.).

• Collaborate with internal and client-side teams to ensure compliance , data integrity , and system availability .

• Provide technical documentation , process flows, and integration guidelines.

• Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related incidents and performance issues.

• Lead or support migration projects (e.g., legacy to Axway, or Axway version upgrades).

• Conduct technical workshops and training sessions in German or English.

• Participate in agile ceremonies and ensure clear status reporting and time tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a B2B Integration Consultant with deep knowledge of Axway B2Bi and SecureTransport .

• Strong understanding of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTPS).

• Familiarity with XML/XSLT , partner onboarding , and message transformation .

• Good understanding of networking , security , and firewall principles as they relate to B2B communication.

• Experience in Linux/Unix environments , scripting (bash, Python), and server management.

• Fluent in German (B2+ minimum) and English —both written and spoken.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• Excellent documentation and client communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Axway API Gateway , Axway Amplify , or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of ITIL processes or experience in regulated environments.

• Prior experience working with remote teams or international clients .

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) or containerized deployments.
