This role is offered through direct recruitment for a reputable client located in Düsseldorf. You will play a key part in planning, executing, and enhancing IT risk and control assessments, providing expert advice to business units, and shaping the evolution of audit methodologies.

Base Pay

Competitive gross annual salary ranging from €90,000 to €120,000.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct and lead complex IT audits focused on systems, processes, and organizational structures.
• Prepare clear audit reports and track the implementation of recommended actions.
• Advise internal stakeholders on IT‑related matters and support relevant IT projects.
• Maintain and expand the internal IT information management framework.
• Develop existing and new audit approaches, methodologies, and tools.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audit teams.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in computer science, business information systems, or a related technical or scientific field.
• Several years of experience in IT audit at a bank, insurance company, or auditing firm.
• Solid knowledge of common audit standards and frameworks (e.g., DORA, COBIT, ISO 27000, IT-Grundschutz).
• Proven experience leading audit teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation skills, and a confident professional demeanor.
• Proficiency in German and English, written and spoken.
