Job Description The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Junior Product Development Electrical Engineer (R&D) for Electrical Markets Division in Neuss, Germany, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, You Will Make An Impact By Developing medium and high voltage cable accessories, including connectors, terminations, and joints for global marketsConduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designsCollaborating with global cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, portfolio management, quality department, and project managementContribution to product development projects from building business case till commercializationEnsuring proper product lifecycle documentation including test reporting and failure analysis Your Skills And Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Power Systems, or related fieldKnowledge of high and/or medium voltage electrical systems, insulation materials, and manufacturing processesFluent in German and English Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: First working experience in energy industry or similar.Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly.Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.Interest in practical working, prototyping, simulating, testing, and validation of electronic designs.Eagerness to learn and willingness to start on new topics.Experience with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ANSI).
