Performance Marketing Manager – EMEA
to build and drive a
programmatic marketing engine
that focuses on
renewals, upsell, and customer lifetime value
.
In this role, you'll develop and execute data-driven campaigns that engage existing customers with relevant offers, lifecycle content, and expansion opportunities. You'll create a
repeatable marketing drumbeat
that's embedded into the sales rhythm, partnering closely with sales, product management, and regional field marketing teams.

How Will You Do It
Lifecycle & Performance Marketing Execution
- Design and implement a repeatable, scalable marketing program targeting Johnson Controls' installed base across EMEA.
- Create customer lifecycle programs aimed at renewals, cross-sell, and upsell, aligned to solution roadmaps and sales priorities.
- Build and manage automated campaign flows (e.g., renewal reminders, usage nudges, upgrade offers) that are triggered by data and behavior.
Customer Engagement & Value Expansion
- Craft compelling content (emails, guides, success stories, solution briefs) tailored to existing customer needs and value moments.
- Develop segmentation strategies that reflect customer types, contract cycles, and product usage insights to personalize messaging and offers.
- Align campaigns with product teams to ensure timing, relevance, and alignment to innovation cycles.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Track full-funnel performance of lifecycle campaigns, including renewal rates, upsell revenue, engagement metrics, and ROI.
- Identify drop-off points in the customer journey and optimize content, timing, and format to improve outcomes.
- Run A/B tests, iterate messaging, and apply agile performance loops to continuously improve impact.
Sales & Product Interlock
- Collaborate with sales teams to align lifecycle marketing with account engagement strategies,supporting their motions with timely campaigns and content.
- Work with product managers to stay ahead of upgrade paths, feature releases, and pricing initiatives that can drive upsell or renewal urgency.
- Create shared KPIs and reporting dashboards that measure the business contribution of installed base marketing.
What We Look For
- 7+ years in performance marketing, digital lifecycle marketing, or B2B retention/growth marketing.
- Demonstrated success in designing and executing campaigns targeting installed base customers.
- Strong experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, analytics platforms, and content creation.
- You combine data-driven decision making with a passion for crafting compelling messaging and campaigns.
- Hands-on executor with a bias for action,you move fast, test constantly, and always tie activity to impact.
- A natural collaborator who thrives at the intersection of marketing, sales, and product.
- Fluent in English; with the ability to work on-site at least 3 days/week.
