Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and other related equipment.
Monitor network performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Resolve complex network issues involving various factors.
Conduct regular network security assessments and implement security protocols.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new technology and systems.
Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution.
Participate in the development and maintenance of network disaster recovery plans.
Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to users and less experienced team members.
Stay current with new networking technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and others.
Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools.
Familiarity with access control models and network security.
Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP) is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in German being advantageous.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to participate in after-hours support and occasional travel.
