As an O&M Package Manager your goal is to enable a smooth handover and contribute to the development and delivery of operable and manageable windfarms for all owners in order to carefree generate fossil‑free electricity.
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position of O&M Package Manager in Business Unit Onshore Wind within the Day1Readiness team part of Operations.
You need to be able to speak, read and write German as a first or second language.
Operations is the department responsible for optimising the operation and management of assets. The Day 1 Readiness team (O&M Package Managers) is responsible for the projects’ Operations strategy, Opex procurement of service agreements and preparations for asset and operations management. What does this mean?
The work of an O&M Package Manager begins during the development phase of a wind farm. The O&M Package Manager supports the project team by determining the O&M strategy for new sites, specifying O&M requirements and supplying the OPEX and availability assumptions to help build strong business cases, including potential future cost reduction measures.
In the procurement phase the O&M Package Manager supports the procurement manager with O&M knowledge toward successful negotiated main construction contracts such as the wind turbine service and maintenance agreement and the wind turbine supply agreement. The O&M Package Manager also tracks deviations in other contracts, assesses the impact to Operations and takes appropriate actions.
After procurement the construction phase of the projects starts. The O&M Package Manager provides advice and support to the project manager and package managers in relation to Operations requirements. The O&M Package Manager is responsible for facilitating the handover process by integrating information from the project packages and bringing in resources from Operations to be able to start on‑time operations of the site.
The work of an O&M Package Manager ends at project closure.

We are looking for honest and open individuals with a positive mindset who can work in a team and build strong relationships. You need to be able to speak, read and write German as a first or second language. We also expect a good command of the English language (both verbally and written) and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to lead and influence others.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of engineering operations and maintenance, experience with large and complex construction projects, and experience with wind farm projects would be advantageous.
