Overview

We are looking for a versatile Project Manager with combined PMO and Scrum Master skills to lead projects and support cross-functional delivery in a regulated fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project execution, agile delivery practices and portfolio-level governance.

This role will interface with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure structured execution and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead medium to large-scale IT / business projects through all phases (initiation to closure).
  • Create and maintain project plans, risk logs, resource plans and budgets.
  • Report project progress to steering committees including status, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Manage vendor interactions and ensure alignment with contractual deliverables.

Scrum Master / Agile Delivery

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Coach the team in agile practices and remove impediments.
  • Track sprint progress, maintain backlog integrity and ensure alignment to sprint goals.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure transparency and incremental value delivery.

PMO Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio governance: milestone tracking, KPI reporting, documentation, compliance.
  • Standardize project delivery artifacts and ensure alignment to internal methodologies (e.g. Stage-Gate).
  • Support resource and capacity planning in collaboration with delivery managers.
  • Ensure audit readiness and adherence to GxP or compliance requirements (if applicable).

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in project management, in both waterfall and agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of PMO governance frameworks and delivery best practices.
  • Proven experience as Scrum Master in a scaled agile or hybrid environment.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • PMP and / or Scrum Master (CSM / PSM) certification required; SAFe or Lean Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Background in life sciences / pharma, finance or regulated industries preferred.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g. German, French) are an asset.
