ABOUT THE TEAM - Public & Energy

Business Transformation & Architecture (BT&A) is the management and architecture consulting unit within SAP Customer Services & Delivery. We assist customers in leveraging technology and digitalization to benefit their businesses, focusing on business innovations, solutions development, and turning ideas into results. Our mission is to enhance technical implementations for sustainable business transformation.

Within BT&A, our regional SAP Enterprise Architects – RISE team supports industry-specific transformation journeys. In the public sector, digitalization enables transparency, citizen empowerment, and improved service delivery, while meeting regulatory and social requirements. In utilities, transformation helps achieve sustainability, compliance, and modernization, reimagining grid management and customer billing with scalable SAP solutions for smart energy use and a greener future.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As a Principal Enterprise Architect RISE for Public & Energy - MU Germany (f/m/d) , you will guide customers through digital transformations using SAP technologies, advancing the RISE with SAP initiative, promoting Clean Core principles, and accelerating SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) adoption.

You will develop comprehensive reference Enterprise Architectures—RISE Models—for customers aligned with their business goals, working with multidisciplinary teams. Your activities will include:

• Developing reference architectures and transformation plans following SAP best practices
• Providing architecture guidance using RISE with SAP methodology and Clean Core principles
• Identifying innovation use cases to meet strategic and operational goals
• Advising management on architecture and transformation activities
• Mitigating technical adoption risks
• Aligning customers and partners with SAP’s Clean Core strategy to accelerate BTP adoption

YOUR PROFILE

We seek dynamic, advisory-minded professionals from multinational environments capable of driving standards, organizational change, and innovation.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Informatics, or comparable education
• 9-11+ years of experience advising management as an enterprise architect or transformation advisor in a multinational environment
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end SAP implementations, including process design, support, and optimization
• Knowledge of public & energy industries
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (technical or functional)
• Certifications such as SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework (LeanIX EAM), SAP Certified Professional-Enterprise Architect, TOGAF are a plus
• Strong understanding of SAP strategy and product portfolio
• Knowledge of project management methodologies
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
• Customer focus, strategic thinking, adaptability, and continuous learning mindset
