Quality Engineer (f/m/d) for Investment Casting

A Snapshot of Your Day This position combines the working fields of Project , Quality, and Supplier Management. As a Quality Engineer (f/m/d) for Investment Castings, you will be crucial in ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of hot gas components for gas turbines at our casting suppliers. Your main responsibility will be to maintain highest quality standards throughout the production process. This includes planning and implementing continuous improvement activities and conducting technical reviews at supplier locations in Europe and Asia. Building strong supplier relationships will be essential to ensure timely execution of quality improvements and maintaining schedules for both new product implementation and series production. Your technical expertise will be vital in assisting series production at casting suppliers, ensuring consistently outstanding performance and adherence to quality standards. How You’ll Make An Impact Identify and drive initiatives to improve the quality of hot gas components produced by our suppliersLead continuous improvement projects to optimize processes, reduce non-conformance costs, and ensure adherence to quality standardsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive improvements and to reach milestonesLead initiatives to reduce costs and delivery times at investment casting suppliersContribution to overall operational efficiency and supportingProvide input to technology roadmap to ensure positioning our products for future success What You Bring Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Foundry Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldExtensive experience in investment casting, quality, and supplier managementStrong background in working with cross-functional teams, particularly in turbine hot gas partsProject management expertise, strong organizational skills, and critical thinking abilitiesFluency in English; willingness to learn German; additional languages is a plusIntercultural competence and readiness for approximately 25% international travel About The Team Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
