Job Description
The GA business line Quality Leader is responsible for driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all aspects of the value stream of Grid Automation aligned to the strategic initiatives and objectives of the business. The role partners effectively with other GA leaders on creating and implementing data‑driven solutions for mitigating risk and prioritizing initiatives to drive focused QMS adoption and execution.
Major Responsibilities
- Define, lead, and implement quality strategy for Grid Automation across all regions for all product lines, R&D, and global supply chain.
- Manage quality for global supply chain, including factories, projects and services delivery, and R&D – new solutions, hardware and software.
- Ensure the deployment of quality policies, processes, standards, and tools through proper action plans and measurement.
- Lead and drive quality management systems, customer satisfaction, product, project, services, supplier quality and continuous improvement to meet GA objectives.
- Identify, analyze and lead resolutions for all quality issues globally for the Grid Automation portfolio, managing interfaces with product lines, regions, GSC and other functions to assess risk and produce action plans.
- Initiate and lead initiatives contributing to quality improvement as a competitive edge and for cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction at any stage of the value chain, including supplier quality.
- Ensure product and project initial quality and reliability metrics are monitored, trended and actions assigned as needed.
- Drive a problem‑solving culture using relevant root cause analysis tools such as 8D problem‑solving methodology.
- Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards and business continuity plans.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or software engineering or another relevant technical/business field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management systems and quality management (and associated tools and methodology) within an industrial and/or hi‑tech industry, and 5 years of operational experience.
- Experience working on complex technical issues with cross‑functional teams in a large matrix organization.
- Ability to articulate and prioritize quality related issues and required solutions.
- Passionate and strong change agent with developed communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
- Previous experience in a people‑management role.
