In this position, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all data cleansing activities required to enable a successful data migration into Greenfield environments and data economical system sunsetting of SAP systems to be decommissioned.

Your assignments

• Develop and maintain a structured data cleansing strategy, including a repository of data objects to be cleansed per deployment unit.
• Perform data profiling to assess quality, volume, and complexity; define data quality KPIs and target achievement levels for each mock migration cycle.
• Prioritize cleansing activities based on data object criticality and migration readiness.
• Coordinate and monitor all cleansing efforts across business units, legal entities, and external partners.
• Continuously align with downstream teams (e.g., data migration, archiving) to validate data readiness and adjust strategies as needed.
• Oversee the cleansing of master and transactional data, including technical closures of records (e.g., CO documents, equipment masters).
• Manage data cleansing activities across connected systems such as Warehouse Management and Treasury.
• Ensure all cleansing activities comply with relevant regulations (e.g., tax, GxP) and archiving/retention policies.
• Provide support after go-live to resolve any data-related issues and ensure data stability.
• Serve as the main interface for internal stakeholders and service providers; provide regular updates to project leadership on progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
  

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, business information systems, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with at least 3 years of experience in leading teams for migration, data analytics or generally ERP deployment in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end data migration processes in SAP environments
• Familiarity with SAP modules and data structures, including knowledge of integration points and dependencies
• Demonstrated experience in data quality management and data cleansing activities
• Experience in SAP and non-SAP tools usefully for data analysis and migration is welcome, e.g. SAP Data Services, SAP Datasphere, LSMW, Migration Cockpit, MS Power BI, MS Azure data lakes
• Knowledge in leveraging AI-or ML-based tooling is advantageous
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience in managing internal and external service partners and ensuring alignment with project goals
• Experience in managing complex interdependencies across multiple workstreams and teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, good German language skills are a plus
