About the Role

In this role you will work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for passenger seats.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for passenger seats.
• Review data from our suppliers for integration approval of seats into the airframe from an electrical point of view, including the review of seat envelope drawings and equipment qualification data.
• Analyze, define, and generate documentation for the design and certification of aircraft seating products, e.g. wiring diagrams, routing installation and harness fabrication drawings, test plans and reports, System Safety, Equipment Qualification, and EWIS documents.
• Collaborate closely with Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities to ensure the aircraft cabin is delivered in the correct condition and quality.
• Supervise supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

What You Bring to the Table

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Manufacturing Engineering) or higher degree in engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience: 5+ years as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) in an EASA Design Organization or as an engineering Unit Member (e-UM) in an FAA Design Organization with terms of approval relevant to electrical discipline.
• Knowledge: Experience with aircraft interior modification programs, especially the electrical part of seat integration, and knowledge of Fundamental Avionics, RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-178C, RTCA DO-254, and System Safety Assessment.
• Collaboration: 5+ years leading complex projects (development of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk and issue management, etc.) and mentoring less experienced staff.
• Tools: Expertise with OEM data systems for specifications and standards; experience with Catia V5/V6, ENOVIA, IVT, AutoCAD.
• Personality: Principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety and accountability, inclusive and collaborative, communicating transparently and taking ownership to drive results.
• Flexibility: Comfortable with a variable work statement and supporting global stakeholders across time zones.
