Team and Context

Within CFO Global Performance Steering (GPS), the Business Partnering team supports bold and proactive steering of AGCS’s growth plans and provides comprehensive business steering support along the annual steering cycle.

Impact You Will Have

Based in the Munich or London office, you will steer the financial performance in your assigned region and/or line of business, performing planning, reporting and analysis to ensure stakeholders understand monthly results and support decision‑making. You will build bridges between Finance and Underwriting, share best practice, and continuously challenge performance to drive portfolio steering.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive business steering support to the LoB Head and/or Regional Managing Director.
• Identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Drive and ensure quality assurance for financial reporting, enabling global business steering and transparency on financial performance.
• Present transparent conclusions and robust financial commentary to enable decision‑making.
• Coordinate regular reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
• Support the Business Partnering leadership team on ad‑hoc topics and projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Significant experience in financial services, ideally in insurance or reinsurance.
• Proven expertise in planning and performance management, including analysis of financial statements and performance metrics specific to insurance or reinsurance.
• Strong communication skills, able to elaborate and convey information clearly to stakeholders including senior management.
• Comfortable working in a global team and maintaining effective remote relationships.
• Analytical and problem‑solving ability, providing insight in complex situations.
• Project‑management skills—milestone and task planning, resource control, monitoring, reporting, and moderation—considering complex stakeholder structures.
• Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills, and SAP experience for reporting.
• Experience applying AI and ML to improve business processes and decision‑making is highly beneficial.
